Our Impact in 2018 /

From delivering more than 17 million emergency medicines to the remotest areas of South Sudan to reducing deaths from heart attacks by 20% in Ukraine through our health procurement work – we are proud to have supported governments and leaders in accelerating self-sufficiency and prosperity for their people, institutions and nations through the exchange of knowledge, ideas and skills in 2018.

We’re proud to share our 2018 Impact Statement with stories from our work accelerating self-sufficiency and prosperity across the globe.

Our work procuring essential drugs and medical devices for the Ministry of Health of Ukraine is an apt demonstration of our role in bringing about lasting positive change.

Once plagued by corruption, Ukraine’s healthcare system suffered due to mismanaged funds. Shortages of medicines and medical devices for the treatment of non-communicable diseases prevalent among the population resulted in low life expectancy.

Managing the Ministry of Health’s public procurement programme, we restored transparency to the buying process, saving 40% of the healthcare body’s budget, while doubling its procurement of stents in the first year. We are very proud to be part of driving change for the people of Ukraine.
