Steven has 20 years experience working within both private and public sector global operational management and business development roles. For the last 8 years, Steven’s work focused on roles leading quality assurance and inspection management.

Originally graduating in chemistry and working as an analytical chemist, Steven subsequently gained a Masters degree in polymer science and technology. He then became an industrial research scientist and moved into research and development management. In 2008,  Steven worked as Technology & Markets Director within the Intermediate Technology Institute (ITI) in Aberdeen, funded by the Scottish Government. In this role, Steven led a team of technical and market specialists to identify key emerging energy sector technologies for subsequent government funding. Steven subsequently  worked in a variety of Energy Sector roles in both the Oil & Gas and Power Industries before joining Crown Agents in November 2019.
