The Eighth USAID Central Asia Trade Forum “New Horizons in Trade and Investment” will be held October 18^th, 2018 at the “Uzexpocentre” in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. This progressive forum is produced in collaboration with USAID Competitiveness, Trade and Jobs Activity in Central Asia and is designed to promote growth and increase trade within the region.

Last year’s event saw over 1,100 government and business leaders in attendance from Central Asia, South Asia, and Europe take part in discussions around improving regional businesses’ competitiveness on the global stage. This year, the trade forum’s theme will explore challenges and innovations relevant to businesses within the agricultural, tourism and transport sectors.

Offering insight into the latest developments within the industry, Crown Agents will lead the panel discussion – “Supply Chain Management with Crown Agents: introducing Track & Trace system in Central ”. This discussion will examine how cutting-edge technologies are transforming supply chain management by providing solutions to challenges like lack of transparency and corruption.

During the panel session, experts will present findings from the research project- “Track &Trace Technologies in Agriculture and Agricultural Trade – Study for Central Asia Region” undertaken by Crown Agents; prior to opening the Q & A session with industry specialists from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.
