Last night our freight-forwarding arm Greenshields Cowie won the Extreme Logistics award at the 2018 Supply Chain Excellence Awards for their work delivering bednets against the odds in South Sudan.

Between 2016-2018, against the backdrop of ongoing conflict in South Sudan, GSC successfully delivered 547 containers containing almost 14 million mosquito nets across the country.

From evacuating staff during heightened security and battling the rainy season, to redesigning delivery plans and routes to keep track of moving populations fleeing war, Greenshields Cowie overcame numerous logistical challenges to ensure bednets got to those who needed them most.
