In Nigeria, 45% of deaths among children under 5 years of age in Nigeria are linked to nutrition deficiencies (UNICEF).
Accelerating Nutrition Results in Nigeria (ANRiN) is a US$232 million project funded by the World Bank that aims to increase quality and cost-effective nutrition services for pregnant and lactating women, adolescent girls, and children under 5 years of age. The programme is focused on 12 states of Nigeria that have high levels of malnutrition.
Since March 2021, Crown Agents has been working in partnership with The Network for Health, Equity and Development (NHED), and effectively provided procurement and supply chain services in the Nasarawa, Gombe and Plateau States, based on international best practice and the highest standards of ethics and transparency.
So far, we have procured and distributed nutrition-based commodities to 1.3 million women and children.
