The Project for the Construction of Waste to Energy Facilities in Davao City

The Government of the Republic of the Philippines has received a grant from the Government of Japan to implement the Project for the Construction of Waste to Energy Facilities in Davao City.

The project involves consulting services, design, construction, operation and maintenance of the facilities funded by the Grant Aid and private financing. Crown Agents, acting as an agent for and on behalf of the Government of the Republic of the Philippines, now invites tenderers to bid to undertake the project.

Eligible bidders shall be Japanese companies, incorporated and registered under Japan Law with their headquarters in Japan and shall be controlled by Japanese physical persons. Any firms, who fall under any of the items of Article 26, paragraph 1 of the Foreign Exchange and Foreign Trade Act (Gaikokukawase-oyobi-Gaikokuboeki-Ho, Law No.228 of 1949, Japan), shall not be regarded as being controlled by Japanese physical persons. They shall have sufficient experience in consultancy services including financial, technical, and legal services for similar projects in Japan and overseas. Joint ventures shall be permitted where all members of the joint venture meet the eligibility criteria stated in the tender document.

Bidders shall not be debarred by the Government of Japan and/or by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) from participating in bidding exercises.
