Maureen Simuyandi /

Maureen is an International development professional with over 20 years experience in health system strengthening and public financial management. She has worked in multifaceted international development organisations such as John Snow Inc. (JSI) and with Crown Agents previously in Central and East Africa (Zambia, Malawi, Kenya) with a variety of different donors including USAID, Global Fund, DFID, JICA. EU and DANIDA.

Through this hands-on-work she has built up extensive technical, programmatic and operational experience with a particular focus on programme design and implementation; project start up and close out; strategic planning and policy development;  contract Management; capacity building; financial, performance, and risk management.

Maureen has proven experience in collaboration and consensus building and a track record of successful engagement with high level government officials, national stakeholders and international funding partners. She is joining the Board whilst based in Zambia, helping support our new full scale office and helping to ensure we continue our “localization” and “pivot to geography” strategy.
