Deputy Director, Crisis Response, Recovery and Stabilisation Unit

Mansoor is Deputy Director of the Crisis Response, Recovery and Stabilisation Unit at Crown Agents UK and brings over nineteen years of experience designing and delivering international development programmes across Asia, the Middle East, North Africa, and the Horn of Africa. Mansoor served as the UN’s Peace and Development Advisor in Eritrea from 2015-2017.  He has led governance, human rights and conflict prevention projects serving as Team Leader in Morocco on an FCO funded project 2017-2018, Chief of Party for a US Government funded project in Libya 2013-2015, and Country Director for an EU funded project in Egypt 2011-2013.  In 2004, Mansoor led a USAID/OTI funded project to establish Afghanistan’s first independent national news agency. Mansoor holds a MSc in Political Sociology and a PhD both from the London School of Economics.
