Celebrating one year of vaccine dispatches to the British Overseas Territories /

Ensuring the British Overseas Territories receive support to manage and respond to the COVID-19 outbreak has remained a key priority for the UK Government throughout the pandemic, as in these isolated, small communities a virus outbreak could be devastating.

On the anniversary of the first of many vaccine dispatches we managed for the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, we look back on the achievements made and the challenges overcome to get vaccines to ‘ends of the earth’.

With thanks to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), UK Health Security Agency, UK Ministry of Defence, IAG Cargo, Royal Air Force (RAF), Royal Navy, Movianto, and the Department of Health and Social Care for their role in this ground-breaking project.
