Crown Agents Ltd (CA) currently holds a contract as Interim Procurement Agents (IPA) for the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC). In this capacity, CA is assisting MCC in supporting its partner government counterparts (MCA Entities) during the late stages of compact development and early stages of compact implementation until the MCA Entity’s Procurement Agent is contracted and mobilized. This IPA manages all procurements pre-compact, including the procurement processes for the longer-term Procurement Agent and Fiscal Agent.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, our work had slowed down significantly. However, we are now moving forward and expect to issue up to eight Request for Proposals (RFPs) for Procurement Agent (PA) and Fiscal Agent (FA) services in the next 12 months.

The IPA’s contract with MCC currently covers countries including Lesotho, Kosovo, Sierra Leone, Malawi, Gambia, Indonesia, Belize, Tunisia and Kenya. Accordingly, we are now in the process of soliciting interests for potential long-term Procurement Agents and Fiscal Agents.

Crown Agents, with support from MCC plans to hold a webinar hosted by Christine Jackson on Thursday 12th May from 10.00am to 11.00am EDT (15:00hr BST) for organisations who wish to participate in the upcoming bidding processes.

This webinar will inform prospective bidders about the operations of MCC and the roles and responsibilities of the IPA, and will provide useful information relating to the PA and FA procurements.
