Japan’s Grant Aid for Economic and Social Development in Zambia: Handing-over Ceremony

On the 18th January 2019, the handing over ceremony for medical equipment (X ray equipment) procured under the Japanese Grant Aid for Economic and Social Development Programme was held in the city of Kafue, Zambia.
The ceremony was attended by Minister of Health of Zambia, Dr Chitalu Chilufya, Kafue District Commissioner Mr Joseph Kamana, and Ambassador of Japan to Zambia, Mr Hidenobu Sobashima. X ray equipment procured under the Grant aid were installed at 13 hospitals across Zambia. This will improve the quality of primary health care and accessibility of medical services.
