Gender, equality and social inclusion (GESI) and health

Crown Agents recognises that gender and social exclusion are social determinants of health. We strive to enable and uplift all marginalised women and girls throughout our programmes. Crown Agents recognises the need to adopt and embed an intersectional gender lens throughout our programmes. We have dedicated, in-house GESI experts who enable us to make sure no one is left behind, and that women, girls and people of all gender expressions are allowed to equitably benefit from all aspects of political, economic, and social life.

Crown Agents has also developed a “GESI Programming Checklist,” which has been created to internally assist colleagues, contractors, and volunteers with ensuring their programmes are GESI-sensitive at a minimum and integrate GESI considerations at each stage of the programme cycle.
