Trade Advocacy Fund /

Making international trade fairer for poor countries

The UK Government’s £13.2 million Trade Advocacy Fund was a demand-driven facility that helped developing countries participate more effectively in the international trading system. TAF provided services for developing country governments, Regional Economic Communities (RECs) and their representative organisations. As Fund Managers of TAF, Crown Agent delivered core financial management, grant management and procurement services.

  • The TAF project received an A+ rating in its annual review recently undertaken by KPMG
  • TAF supported the negotiation process aimed towards a Tripartite Free Trade Area, uniting the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa, Southern African Development Community, and East African Community under a single trade area
