The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW) of the Government of Bangladesh and the Accelerating the Sustainable Control and Elimination of NTDs programme (ASCEND), wish to engage an Implementing Partner to support the national goal of elimination of Lymphatic Filariasis (LF) and scale up a minimum package of Morbidity Management and Disability Prevention (MMDP) service in the endemic districts through:
- A mapping exercise, to map all chronic cases of Lymphedema and Hydrocele in endemic districts.
- Ensuring that 30,000 cases of chronic LF patients have access to primary care at facilities, are engaged in self-care at home, and receive MMDP selfcare kits.
- Facilitating referral of surgical correction for 5000 cases of hydrocele and provide consumables necessary for such surgeries.
Crown Agents Limited, as leader of the consortium managing ASCEND, now invites bids from suitably qualified Bidders to be engaged as subcontractors to support Increased Coverage of MMDP for LF in Bangladesh.
The Contract will be for a period of approximately 20 months, expected to run from May 2020 to December 2021.
This is an open competition under which bids are invited from any organisation. Bidders may be commercial (for profit) firms, faith-based, and non-profit organisations, either independently or in partnership or consortia.

The deadline for submission of bids is 13:00 hours noon (UK time) on Wednesday 8 April 2020. Bids must be submitted electronically in accordance with instructions contained in the RFP. Late bids will be rejected.
Bids will be evaluated in accordance with procedures and evaluation criteria described in the RFP. The successful bidder will be invited to negotiate and sign a subcontract based on terms set out in the RFP.
