Paul has over 20 years of experience supporting development, particularly governance in African countries. He worked for the Department for International Development (DFID) in a variety of senior policy and operational roles, including as Lead Policy Adviser helping to shape the SDG agenda, and as Africa Chief of Staff.

Paul led the DFID team in Sierra Leone at the time of the Ebola crisis, overseeing the shift from a regular development programme to one of the world’s most complex and high-profile humanitarian crises.

Outside work Paul’s a big cyclist, making the most of living on the South Downs and doing one or two triathlons every summer.
