Prior to joining Crown Agents in 1997, Paul worked for two decades in various operational and managerial roles in HM Customs and Excise. During his career with Crown Agents, Paul has led numerous projects focussing on trade facilitation, customs and revenue reform. His role with Crown Agents has allowed him to work in Africa, the Caribbean and Eastern Europe where he has delivered solutions in areas such as intelligence, risk management, strategy and structure.
Paul is proud to have led a customs reform programme in South Sudan, assisting the newly formed customs service to re-build it structures following years of civil war. He was able to use his considerable experience working in post conflict countries to help develop a service able to fulfil its duel mandate of revenue collection and facilitation.
His young family occupy all of his spare time.
