A previous Diplomat for the Embassy of Japan in Nairobi, Koji has overseen Japan’s intermediary capacity during the Somalian Humanitarian crisis. He has also acted as the official general election observer during the introduction of the multi-party system in African nations through the early 90s.
Koji has also worked for the Japan Platform, supporting in the delivery of emergency aid to vulnerable populations countries including Indonesia following the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami and Pakistan in the aftermath of the 2005 earthquake. Very much reflected in his projects, Koji is passionate about humanitarian response and stabilisation work, with a keen interest in South East Asian, Middle East and Sub-Saharan Africa geographies.
An avid golfer, Koji typically spends time on the course whenever he gets a chance.
