We help fight malnutrition by designing solutions that improve food security and cover the entire nutritional supply chain. We work with governments, donors and other partners to implement country-specific approaches to strengthen procurement, inspection and delivery as well as supplier performance management.
Through projects in trade, supply chain and agriculture, we improve food accessibility by simplifying tariff structures, reducing clearance times and streamlining cross-border trade flows. We advise local suppliers and households to reduce vulnerability and ensure food security.
With one sixth of the global population suffering from chronic hunger, malnutrition remains the world's most serious health problem. It is the largest contributor to child mortality in the developing world, and in many countries continues to undermine progress toward achieving the Millennium Development Goals.
