Terms & Conditions

Fees

Course fees must be paid in full at least four weeks (28 days) before the start of each course. Fees include all tuition costs, materials supplied during the programme, lunch and light refreshments during each course day.
Your booking is not confirmed until payment has been received. Payment must be made in advance and Crown Agents may refuse admission of the delegate on the course if payment has not been received.

The course is non residential and booking accommodation is the responsibility of the delegate. Crown Agents can advise on arrangements for accommodation. Meals and travel are also the responsibility of the participant.

Tax

UK Courses
Value Added Tax (VAT) regulations, effective from 1 October 1993 state that training services are zero rated for Government officials and public servants. When applying for courses applicants must complete an application form confirming they are employed by their government in 'furtherance of its sovereign activities' and this must be endorsed with a departmental stamp to be exempt from VAT. All other delegates are liable to pay the prevailing rate of UK VAT.

Overseas Courses

All courses delivered outside the UK will be liable for local tax as applied by the relevant tax authority.


Substitutions

If you are unable to attend a booked course we will accept a substitute at any time without penalty.


Transfers

Transfers onto a different course will be considered within a six month period if course fees have been paid in full. However, only one transfer is permitted.


Cancellations

All cancellations must be made in writing. For cancellations received up to 20 working days (4 weeks) prior to the start of the course Crown Agents will refund 100% of the course fee. Cancellations received after 20 working days (4 weeks) before the start of the course will be charged the full course fee. If the delegate fails to attend the course, the whole course fee will be charged. Tuition fees paid are non-refundable except as outlined in the cancellation terms.

If you have been refused a visa or entry to the UK, the course fee will be refunded if the following conditions are met;

  • Crown Agents is provided with the original letter issued by the British High Commission/Embassy confirming the refusal of visa
  • Crown Agents Joining Instructions and any visa support documentation are returned to Crown Agents
  • You have not entered the UK

Crown Agents will inform the UK Border Agency of any cancellations or 'No Shows'.


Changes to our course schedule

We reserve the right to make alterations to any course or to cancel a course at anytime. In the event of this occurring an alternative course date or course will be offered. In addition to this a full refund or credit will be given if the course is cancelled.


Programme Documentation

All delegates will be provided with handouts of course materials. Prior to completion of your course you will receive the course notes electronically on a USB memory stick. All course and workshop materials are copyrighted and may not be reproduced without prior permission in writing from Crown Agents.


Visas

Arrangements for visa (if required) are your responsibility. Please contact your own British Embassy to find out whether you will need a visa to visit the United Kingdom.

Obtaining a visa may take some time; delegates are advised to start this procedure as soon as possible.
