Trade corridors

The advantages of establishing effective trade corridors have been the subject of much discussion in recent years, particularly across Africa. The ability to transit goods and people easily along a well structured trade corridor, with no delays or hindrances at traditional pinch-points such as borders, or any other barrier to trade, is an idealistic vision that will need a concerted effort and support from every level of the governments within the recognised economic regions.Trade CorridorsCrown Agents is able to provide assistance in a number of ways from strategic planning down to grass roots applications of processes and procedures. We have a proven track record of delivering successful assistance in customs reform, inter-agency border work, cross border infrastructure planning and regional integration. We also have a thorough understanding of the legal, environmental and health implications of establishing a trade corridor.

Crown Agents is already working with EAC at a planning level and we have also met with COMESA, SADC and ECOWAS to identify ways in which our expertise can best be applied.
