Examine the relationship between national policy objectives and successful programmes and project implementation.

Projects and programmes are not developed in isolation but should reflect policy objectives.

This course provides an overview of strategic planning and the stages of a programme and project life-cycle. It demonstrates how to construct effective programmes and projects in order to implement public policy objectives. It also demonstrates how to define performance criteria, what the essentials of an effective monitoring system are and how evaluation is crucial to future successful policy, programme and project design.
