1. Why did you decide to work for Crown Agents?
A former colleague raved about Crown Agents as an organisation: its history, mission and the role it plays on the SCMS project. As soon as a position became available I applied and became part of the Crown Agents family in June 2007.
2. What do you do?
I am a procurement specialist on the SCMS project procuring lab consumables as well as a lead trainer with responsibility for writing, revising and developing curriculum for our Field Office Managed Procurement training program.
3. What is the best part of your job?
The travel! I have led training sessions in South Africa, Vietnam, Nigeria, Haiti and Tanzania. I am able to utilize the skills I obtained during my Masters degree in Spanish/Bilingual Multicultural Education as well as skills obtained at Crown Agents. I could not have dreamed of a better opportunity, work atmosphere and organization.
4. How would you describe your team working environment?
Our environment is very relaxed, conducive to open communication and new ideas to improve business processes are encouraged.
