Microsoft and Crown Agents join forces to boost international trade

Frank McCosker, Microsoft's director of Global Stategic Accounts with Nick Small, Crown Agents' trips™ Business DirectorAt this week's World Customs Organisation's annual IT Conference and Exhibition in Seattle, Crown Agents and Microsoft signed an agreement to develop an innovative foreign trade single window solution.

The Foreign Trade Single Window, initially being launched in a central Asian country, combines Crown Agents trips™ software with Microsoft's Dynamics CRM and SharePoint Server to provide faster, more secure trade and facilitate economic growth.

Attending the event (11th May - 13th May 2011) was Frank McCosker, Microsoft's director of Global Strategic Accounts, along with Crown Agents' trips™' business director Nick Small, who delivered a presentation on Cloud Computing: What it is. What it isn't.

Small said that Crown Agents is delighted to be working with Microsoft on the design and delivery of innovative solutions for revenue agencies across the emerging markets.

"Combining our considerable experience in designing solutions that maximise business value with the agile and innovative platforms provided by Microsoft enables us to rapidly improve the capabilities of forward-looking revenue agencies. We look forward to bringing these combined strengths to bear on mission-critical programs across the globe," he said.
