This course examines the key stages of an effective public sector or capital investment programme (PSIP / CIP) and considers how national and sector plans and budgets link to a multi-year PSIP / CIP.

It also explores cost-benefit and cost-effectiveness analysis and looks at financing options including private sector project finance, key issues relating to the integration of capital expenditures into the budget process, and capital asset management, maintenance and disposal.
