Reconstruction, upgrading and the provision of improved infrastructure is often a key step to providing health services which improve quality of life.
At Crown Agents, we recognise that project implementing agencies often lack the resources and experience required to effectively execute donor funded infrastructure programmes. We believe that in addition to technical input, successful health infrastructure renovation requires strong project, financial and risk management disciplines with close cooperation and communications between parties.
Crown Agents provides project managers, engineers of all disciplines and procurement specialists to assist clients with practical, appropriate and economic solutions that bring projects to fruition. Our capacity building approach includes training and development of counterpart staff to build future sustainability. Our work is sensitive and constructive, helping existing management and staff to grow into their full potential.
We have recently been working in Zimbabwe on a DFID-funded project to renovate Zimbabwe's six major public hospitals. Having conducted surveys and established the priority needs of each hospital, we are now working in consultation with the Ministry of Health and hospital staff to plan, manage, supervise and provide quality assurance for the refurbishment of the hospitals.
