The Government of Japan has developed "Grant Aid for Environment and Climate Change" to help recipient countries to cope with the challenge of climate change. This assistance includes Programmes for the Improvement of Capabilities to cope with Natural Disasters caused by Climate Change that seeks to enable recipients to better prepare and respond to natural disaster caused by climate change.
These new grant aid programmes provides support in the form of equipment and associated services necessary for disaster prevention and response, which shall be procured by Crown Agents.
