Crown Agents' executive director of Business Development, Steve Taylor, has been appointed Chairman of the private sector trade association, British Expertise. Steve Taylor has served on the Board of British Expertise for the past two years and Crown Agents has a long-standing relationship with the organisation, notably receiving several high profile awards in recognition of its contribution to international development.
British Expertise chief executive Graham Hand welcomed Steve and said he looked forward to working more closely with him in the coming year.
"Steve Taylor's long experience of business, in a range of sectors, will stand British Expertise in good stead as we build on the changes to the organisation that were initiated by his predecessor David Howell. I look forward to working even more closely with him and to making British Expertise stronger than ever."
Steve Taylor, who has a strong background of working for international companies in the private sector, said he looked forward to helping member companies to win business internationally, expanding the association's membership and strengthening ties with the British government.
"I am proud to be elected Chairman of British Expertise, a trade association with a big voice and a long history of bringing together sectors, organisations and individuals seeking to grow their business overseas.
"Despite the economic downturn, the membership has grown and finances have improved. I'd like to raise the status of British Expertise further as a private sector partner to the British government so that it is considered to be a key organisation involved in developing and implementing foreign policy."
