Our training and capacity building services are a distinguishing feature of our unique identity amongst international fund managers. We support our clients in developing their own capabilities to manage reserves, pension funds or other funds, providing training courses, mentoring and workshops on aspects of investment and risk management, usually linked to managing funds.
Central banks appoint investment managers to enable them to earn better returns on their reserves, but in doing so a major concern is to develop the level of internal expertise to exercise responsibility for, and control over, the investment managers they appoint. A major selection criterion is the level of support the manager will provide for the central bank's internal capacity development.
CAIM has been responding to needs to build capacity in its clients for many years and has developed a comprehensive training and mentoring programme designed to enable clients to actively manage fixed income portfolios internally, capturing value from active management at an acceptable level of risk.
