Crown Agents is working alongside donor agencies to improve Yemen's economic opportunities and build its capacity, particularly within line ministries.
In 2008 the Yemen government overhauled its approach to procurement, including setting a new law, regulations and opening procedures to public scrutiny. Crown Agents ran a three-day USAID-sponsored workshop to familiarise tender board officials with the new regulations.
Crown Agents first worked for Yemen in the 1970s, under World Bank funding.
