Crown Agents has been supporting international development programmes in Ukraine for the past ten years. Our local operations have helped deliver procurement, consultancy, training and other services to donor projects in numerous sectors, including nuclear safety, health, revenue enhancement and international trade.
We have given procurement support towards improving the operational safety of nuclear power plants, and safety measures for Chernobyl-affected areas. We have also handled the health aspect of post-Chernobyl programmes through technical assessment and procuring specialised medical equipment.
Apart from arranging substantial supplies for public organisations, we have been contracting with local enterprises to supply metallurgy products under projects managed by Crown Agents around the world, thereby helping to raise the international profile of Ukrainian heavy industry.
We have recently been working closely with the government, providing legal and procurement advice, and associated training to public officials, as part of institutional development to facilitate Ukraine's accession to WTO.
In the revenue sector we are partnering with the customs administration in joint work at Ukraine's Eastern border.
