The Commonwealth Secretariat Debt Recording and Management System (CS-DRMS) is a world-leading debt software for managing a government's entire debt portfolio. It is more than a repository of debt data, however, and can reinforce best practices in debt management, control operational risk and be used to create innovative analysis and reporting frameworks.

This advanced level course will provide users with the knowledge and confidence to fully adapt CS-DRMS to the operational context. The course will focus on how the system can be fully adapted to specific debt operations and integrated with other systems and can be used to analyse the portfolio, assess sustainability, monitor risks and form part of a debt strategy.

Who should attend
CS-DRMS users with foundation knowledge of the system as well as debt analysts and managers, economists and accountants at national and sub-national level in debt offices, central banks, ministries, state-owned enterprises and parastatals.
Note: You do not have to have attended our Introductory course to take advantage of this course, you must however have a foundation knowledge of CS-DRMS.

How you will benefit

  • Recording complex financial instruments
  • Extending CS-DRMS's recording capabilities to record arrears to contractors and suppliers using unique methodology to record contracts
  • Using the system for grant recording
  • Using CS-DRMS with the Commonwealth Secretariat Securities Auction System for providing a total integrated system solution
  • Using CS-DRMS in an operational context including the debt service payment process
  • Using CS-DRMS's advanced features including market value debt
