Crown Agents has worked in Sudan for the past 40 years, assisting public bodies such as Sudan Railways, the Finance Ministry, and the Central Bank.
We opened an office in Khartoum in 1993, which is now supported by a regional office in Addis Ababa, and our Africa regional office in Nairobi. Through this network we provide a full range of services, including supply chain services (procurement, logistics, health), public financial management (debt management, customs and tax reform), international banking (pooled accounts, payments, foreign exchange) and training.
Under the 2005 Comprehensive Peace Agreement, Crown Agents with the African Union arranged for the transportation of vehicles and equipment for use by African peacekeepers in Darfur. We also helped reform the humanitarian system through the Sudan Common Humanitarian Fund.
