Post-conflict rehabilitation in Iraq
Reconstruction Program
USAID - Subcontractor to International Resources Group | 2003 - 2006
The International Resource Group's overall program aimed to provide immediate relief assistance through to longer-term rehabilitation support, providing assistance in planning, monitoring, coordination and the management of Iraq's reconstruction across a range of sectors.
Crown Agents played an instrumental role, supporting USAID in planning for the implementation of emergency relief and near-term rehabilitation in Iraq and have successfully delivered high quality services operating under difficult conditions.
Crown Agents assisted in procuring office furnishings and fittings, computer and communication equipment, vehicles and ancillary items necessary to set up the agency's project teams in Iraq and Kuwait as well as overseeing the construction of over 100 houses and other facilities for USAID staff. Foreign Service Officers described Crown Agents' housing built for USAID as 'fantastic and very cost effective and secure' in the March 2006 issue of the Foreign Service Journal.
