1. Why did you decide to work for Crown Agents?
I wanted to put the skills I'd learnt during my LCC secretarial diploma to good use and Crown Agents appeared to be a good multi-national organisation. Thirty two years later I still look forward to coming to work every morning. Not many people can honestly say that to themselves.
2. What is the best part of your job?
Being in a position to lead a professional and experienced team to offer supply chain solutions to our clients, working with donors and helping them to achieve their budgetary and project goals. Nothing beats the adrenalin rush I get when I receive plaudits from our clients for a job well done.
3. What have been your greatest challenges and achievements?
When Crown Agents Singapore was first introduced to the world of condom procurement in the early 1990's we had to learn very quickly from talking to many industry players and undertaking our own research. We are proud that we were able to overcome the many difficulties and challenges and are now Crown Agents' Centre of Excellence for Condom Procurement.
4. Where have you travelled while working for Crown Agents?
Over the last three decades, my work at Crown Agents has taken me to various countries to give presentations and for discussions, attending conferences and forums with donors, governments, NGOs and clients on the various products that we procure (including condoms and anti-tuberculosis drugs). These countries have included Cambodia, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, UK, USA and Vietnam.
