Procurement and Supply Chain Management Consortium’s Contract is extended

22 January 2010

Crown Agents Kenya Limited will contribute to the Procurement and Supply Chain Management (PSCM) Consortium as the Government of Kenya has extended the Consortium's contract by another 12 months beginning in December 2009.

Under the Consortium which consists of Crown Agents, Kenya Medical Supplies Agency (KEMSA), GTZ and John Snow Inc. (JSI), Crown Agents will continue to provide procurement and supply chain management services under the Global Fund (GF) grants to the Kenyan Government. In liaison with the Kenyan Ministry of Finance which is the Global Fund principal recipient, the Consortium will buy and deliver items stipulated in the GF grant. These items will include pharmaceuticals, HIV test kits, malaria bed nets, medical consumables and equipment, vehicles, computer equipment and training materials. Crown Agents will ensure a secure and sustainable supply chain for speedy access to high quality pharmaceutical items at the lowest cost possible.
