Crown Agents is providing procurement and logistics support, together with the Academy for Educational Development, under the Strategic Technical Assistance for a Global Epidemic (STAGE) Project in South Africa.
STAGE provides technical support for global efforts on HIV/AIDS prevention, support and mitigation, and is a primary mechanism through which the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will implement the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR).
The objective of the project's procurement and logistics component is to establish a robust supply mechanism for the distribution of NGOs' HIV test kits in South Africa, improving in-country capacity and ensuring the long-term sustainability of supply systems.
