Crown Agents has formed a partnership with the National Pharmaceutical Company of Zimbabwe (NatPharm) to bid for contracts to supply health commodities. The partnership's initial focus will be on contracts funded by the Global Fund to fight AIDS, TB & Malaria.
NatPharm is a government-owned enterprise charged with procuring, storing and distributing high quality yet affordable medicines. The partnership aims to bring together the two organisations' skills and competencies under their shared vision for an effective supply chain in Zimbabwe's public health sector.
News of the partnership was welcomed by the donor community, and by NGOs which have already started to engage with it on supply chain issues.
