A certificate was awarded to Crown Agents by the Government of the Republic of Mozambique in recognition of the contribution to the successful modernisation of Mozambique's Customs Service. The award was presented by Dr Manuel Chang, Minister of Finance, at a ceremony to mark the conclusion of the Customs Reform project. This flagship project, which lasted from 1997 to 2006, has had a major influence on Mozambique's economic development, generating an additional US $1.4bn in government revenue, helping to encourage inward investment and setting new standards for the reform of a public institution.
