Crown Agents has been active in Malaysia since 1966 and our principal activities include quality assurance, procurement and public financial management.
As Malaysia has experienced rapid economic development, Crown Agents role has evolved to provide advisory and capacity building services. Over 500 Malaysian Government officers have attended courses at our International Management Training Centre in the UK and Kuala Lumpur. We have also conducted in-country training courses for clients with specific training needs, such as Telekom Malaysia, to match their individual, departmental and organisational goals.
In 2006, Crown Agents entered into a strategic partnership with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Agency to deliver a regional training course, Intelligence-Based Investigation, at the agency's new Training Academy in Kuala Lumpur. A number of Malaysian entities have also engaged Crown Agents for customised attachments and placements such as Royal Malaysia Police, Ministry of Education and SIRIM.
Our consultancy assignments in Malaysia include the establishment of a vehicle repair, maintenance and service centre for the Sarawak Economic Development Corporation and the implementation of the Institutional Support for the Accelerated Development of Kedah's economy. Crown Agents Bank has also provided payment and support services for Malaysian students studying in the UK.
With Malaysian-made products becoming increasingly more competitive in the international market, Crown Agents has procured and inspected significant quantities of condoms for family planning / HIV prevention projects, surgical gloves and pharmaceuticals destined for export markets.
