Crown Agents has been operating in Malawi since 1985, providing services in different areas within Malawi including Consultancy Services, Public Financial Management, Health and Training. These services have often been conducted through Japanese Non-Project Grant Aid (JNPGA) from the Government of Japan.
We supply a first class training service to clients from Malawi and have been able to send delegates to attend courses in other countries including the UK. We also hold some courses in Malawi.
Managed by Crown Agents and funded by DFID (Department for International Development), the Africa Community Access Programme (AFCAP), designed to address the challenges of providing reliable access for poor communities is currently active in Malawi.
In 2007 we started providing a consultancy service for the Malawi IRS Project to help prevent the spread of Malaria through indoor residual spraying.
Crown Agents working in Malawi has provided Public Financial Management reform using the Public Expenditure Finance Accountability (PEFA) Framework. The Malawian government has made significant improvements, particularly through introducing an integrated financial management information system, which helped to bring donor-funded projects together into the government's own budgeting systems.
