Since Crown Agents' Nairobi office was established in 1965, we have provided technical assistance and procurement services on a range of projects ranging from health and social development to privatisation and public financial management.

Malaria-related child deaths in Kenya have decreased by over 40% since Crown Agents was appointed in 2002 to supply and distribute over 12 million bednets and over seven million long-lasting insecticide-treated bednets (LLINS), funded by the Global Fund.

Under the extended DFID-funded project that runs until 2015, Crown Agents has been sub-contracted by Population Services International (PSI) to inspect and deliver LLINS, as well as condoms and other contraceptives.

On behalf of the US-funded Indoor Residual Spraying project (2007-2011), Crown Agents Kenya in partnership with USAID is continuing efforts to reduce Malaria by remunerating IRS labourers to ensure high spraying coverage rates.

We are assisting efforts to deliver essential medicines to those living with HIV/AIDS under the President's Emergency Fund for AIDS Relief-funded supply chain management system.

Beyond the health sector, we are supporting Kenya's Public Procurement Oversight Authority, the Millennium Challenge Corporation-funded reform project and also managing DFID's Africa Community Access programme.

Since 2008 we have delivered several training courses in Nairobi including Procurement of Works and Dispute Avoidance, E-Procurement Strategies for Success and Monitoring and Evaluation of Procurement Performance.
