Grant Aid for the Forest Preservation Programme for the Republic of Kenya FY2009
The Government of the Republic of Kenya has received a grant of 1,100 million yen from the Government of Japan for the provision of goods, works and services to strengthen the recipient's forest preservation and management capacity, which are likely to include:
- Forestry mapping and survey equipment
- Laboratory equipment
- Various vehicles
- Construction machinery
- Other necessary equipment for Forestry Preservation - to be confirmed.
Eligible bidders shall be Japanese companies, incorporated and registered under Japan Law with their head quarters in Japan and shall be controlled by Japanese physical persons. Any firms, who fall under any of the items of Article 26, paragraph 1 of the Foreign Exchange and Foreign Trade Act (Gaikokukawase-oyobi-Gaikokuboeki-Ho, Law No.228 of 1949, Japan), shall not be regarded as being controlled by Japanese physical persons. They shall have sufficient experience in the design, manufacture, installation and sale of the required equipment and provision of required works and services both in Japan and overseas. Joint ventures shall be permitted where all members of the joint venture meet the eligibility criteria stated in the tender document.
It is a prerequisite for all companies wishing to participate in the bid invitations that they must register their interest by completing the 'Supplier Registration Form' located at the left side of this page.
