What do you do?
I am a Finance Manager covering SCS Procurement Consultancy, Technical Services, Japanese Business and various SCS cost areas. I am also responsible for group reporting of CA USA financial information. I advise project managers/administrators on project financial performance and how this compares to budget and forecast figures. Supply financial information to managers, ensuring their understanding of the figures. Advise on hedging currency transactions. Review statutory accounts from International Offices, and prepare statutory accounts for GSC and PTG Statesman Travel.
What have you enjoyed the most whilst working at Crown Agents?
CA has such a wide variety of projects, this provides a challenging environment for me to learn and interact with business areas advising them on finance issues.
Why do you enjoy working for Crown Agents?
My fellow colleagues are very friendly and easy to work with "good working environment". I also believe the company does something worthwhile with projects in developing countries .e.g. prevention of malaria - IRS project, Japanese Non-Project Grant Aid Programme (JNPGA) finances materials, goods and services in developing countries.
What has been the highlight of your career at Crown Agents?
After 4 years of study and 14 exams later I finally attained the ACCA qualification in 2008.
