Many eastern European countries are engaged in economic restructuring and political reform. Whether they have already joined the European Union or are still awaiting accession, they are all strengthening their institutions, improving their investment climate and repositioning themselves economically.
Since 1990 Crown Agents has worked with governments and donors to improve their economic growth through
- working in partnership to increase revenue through modernising customs, tax and areas as well as introducing integrated computerised technology
- assisting in procurement reform to increase capacity by strengthening public procurement systems, and acting as procurement agents on behalf of governments and donors
- implementing humanitarian assistance programmes to help overcome post- conflict crises and create a stable base for economic growth and development.
- supporting public health development and providing procurement assistance in the health sector
- developing skills through capacity building and training in public procurement, customs, anti-corruption and general institutional building.
We work with donors and, especially, local partners and the private sector in our client countries, to deliver projects that improve performance, support change and ensure sustainability.
