Training is an essential part of our project design and implementation. Crown Agents' ethos is to ensure sustainability in our change, capacity building and modernisation programmes through analysing needs, developing training curricula, designing training programmes, delivering courses and training trainers.
Crown Agents also offers a wide range of stand-alone training interventions, delivered at our new, dedicated training centre in London, in the client's country, or in regional hubs. Our courses are tailored to each client, and can be designed and delivered on request.
Crown Agents' training courses can be aimed at the strategic, tactical and operational levels, and are delivered in a classroom environment and/or 'on the ground'. For example, we can train senior staff in how to manage the planning, procurement and installation of a new scanner capability, while training operational teams in how to use the equipment.
Our courses are aimed at all those involved in international trade operations - customs staff, trade development/facilitation staff, traders, brokers, shipping & forwarding agents and banking and trade finance officials. We deliver training in a wide range of areas such as customs policy and procedures, international trade procedures, use of scanners, understanding the Single Window environment, international trade finance and customs classification and valuations.
Crown Agents' training does not start and finish with the delivery of a course. We can help clients to analyse training needs and develop training plans, curricula and material. We can also help set up training schools, train trainers and deliver follow-up support such as mentoring and coaching to aid the embedding of new skills.
Although our courses are normally delivered in English, our trainers are experienced in delivering training to multilingual groups. We are also able to deliver training in other languages, using simultaneous translations.
