On 19th February the Commonwealth Business Council (CBC) hosted a meeting with the Oyo State Government Nigeria to discuss a wide range of investment projects being proposed and how the CBC and Crown Agents could assist.
Crown Agents' customs and trade facilitation (CTF) team were invited by the CBC to give a presentation to his Excellency Christopher Adebayo Alao-Akala, the Executive Governor of Oyo State and his team on the concept of a One Stop Border Posts (OSBP). Crown Agents' Senior CTF Advisor, Trevor Simumba and CTF Advisor, Phill Norley gave a presentation on Crown Agents' approach to OSBP. The presentation was well received by the Oyo State delegation and an invitation was immediately extended to Crown Agents for a visit to Oyo State to review the work that has been undertaken so far.
Crown Agents was also included in discussions about how the other proposed projects could be developed, marketed and tendered for, to ensure their successful implementation and execution. This meeting was the first step towards a series of project specific road shows, investment forums and publications that will be implemented with the support of CBC.
