At the forthcoming European Development Days organised by the European Commission (Brussels, 6 and 7 December 2010), eunida -
of which Crown Agents is the UK member and a Vice President - will host a round table discussion on how networks can add value to overall aid effectiveness. With moderation provided by Simon Maxwell, formerly the Director of ODI, and a range of participants drawn from the European Parliament and other stakeholders, this can be expected to be a lively and interesting discussion drawing in part on some of the lessons being learnt from the donor community's response over the past ten months to the Haiti earthquake.
eunida - the European Network of Implementing Development Agencies is a legal grouping of agencies drawn from increasing numbers of the EU Member States, with a public mandate to develop, manage and implement sustainable development programmes on behalf of the European Commission.
The combined actions of the membership, with individual member capacities further enhanced through the exchange of information, know-how and best practices, make a major contribution to the strengthening of EU international development cooperation. Crown Agents contributes strongly to the development and delivery of the complex technical cooperation and post-conflict programmes managed by eunida.
