Crown Agents' Dhaka office has participated in Bangladesh's development since 1976, when it was set up in response to the growing volumes of commodity aid flowing into the then newly-independent country. Crown Agents Dhaka has contributed to the country's development across every major sector, particularly transport, health and water supply. It also provides quality assurance and inspection services to local offices of international organisations (such as the United Nations) and on a worldwide basis to UNFPA. The office has contracts with the UK's Department for International Development and Danida to provide procurement services across all their projects in Bangladesh.
Crown Agents is also able to provide consultancy services in public financial management, legal reform and governance to assist in Bangladesh's development.
